Gaps or spaces between your teeth is a common dental issue. Our Denver dentists have found that for some patients it is not an issue but for others it is something they wish to have addressed. One of the solutions to close the space between your front teeth is with orthodontics. This can be a very efficient way to solve the problem. For other patients a different solution is possible. That solution is dental veneers or all-porcelain dental crowns.
In this case our Denver Dentists found older porcelain fused to metal crowns (PFM) on the two front teeth. The issue with them was these crowns did not close the space and there is graying at the gum line due to the underlying metal coping. The solution our Denver Dentist proposed was new all-porcelain crowns on the front teeth and dental veneers on the lateral incisors. By doing this our Denver Dentist was able to re-distribute the spacing between four (4) teeth. To just replace the two front teeth may have made the front teeth appear too large.
